Adult ADHD
We are a neuro-affirming practice that specializes in assessing and treating Adult ADHDers. So many adults have been in and out of therapy, diagnosed with depression, anxiety, or something else, and experience difficulty in their relationships. Typical coping strategies, life skills, and relaxation techniques seem to fall flat, and they are left wondering - “What is wrong with me?” If this sounds familiar, there may be another explanation for the concentration difficulties, memory issues, low motivation, and intense emotions you experience. While we still do not know all there is to know about ADHD, we have come a long way in our understanding of this condition and how it can present so differently in everyone. As with all neurodevelopmental conditions, the focus has traditionally been on assessing and treating children. However, people do not “age out” of ADHD, and because so little was known about it 20 years ago, many people went undiagnosed. Our staff has the training and lived experience necessary to effectively help adults understand how ADHD impacts their lives and what they can do to advocate for themselves in a society that is neurotypically designed. In addition to individual and group therapy, Dr. Bono provides comprehensive assessments that include recommendations and resources to help you achieve your personal goals and live your best life.
